School Art for Mankind is the “school version” of Street Art for Mankind. It invites children to be the artists of change. Just like prominent street artists reveal powerful messages of freedom on huge canvases, children reveal their messages on painted shoeboxes. Eventually, artists and children unite to raise awareness on the critical and paradoxical issue of our modern world: Child Labor.

First edition 2016/2017  – More than 600 participants from Miami Dade Public Schools!

Over 100 groups of 4 to 8 children from 4th to 8th grades of Miami Dade Public Schools, created huge “Masterpieces”, assemblies of 8 to 16 shoeboxes, to inspire the world to become more child-friendly. These installations were mini-versions of the creations made by prominent Street Artists on 16 containers for the Miami festival 2017.

All groups were evaluated by a jury made of the team of Nobel Peace Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi, 2 prominent Miami Street Artists (Trek6 and Magda Love), Miami Dade Public School Superintendent team and Street Art for Mankind co-founders.

The 3 winning teams joined the VIP opening ceremony of the Miami Festival 2017 and received a trophy, a medal and a diploma handed on stage directly by the team of Kailash Satyarthi. All participants were invited to join the exhibition.
